Pay Per Click or PPC for short is a quick way to buy your way to the top of search engines. When searching on Google you will notice at the very top and on the right hand side there are some adverts. This is where your Pay Per Click results will be. Basically what you do is set a price on your Keyword you are happy to pay for each click to your website.
For example, if you sell Televisions and one of your Keywords is ‘LED TV’ you might set your figure as £1 per click (therefore you would need to pay £1 every time someone clicks on your link). Other TV companies out there might also use that Keyword and are happy to pay £2 per click. This would generally mean their advert would be placed higher in the results than yours.
Pay Per Click is very good at getting visitors to your website very quickly, you could have your advertising campaign set up in Adwords (Google’s PPC software) and start receiving visitors within 20mins.
Fantastic you might think!
Warning! this can be very expensive if you don’t know what you are doing! It is very easy to spend lots of money using Pay Per Click and not get any sales from them.
You need to create a strategy so that your return on investment makes sense. Juicy SEO knows how to maximise your Adwords campaign to ensure you get the best return on investment as possible.
Pay Per Click is great for new websites and to generate instant customers or to help with your ‘end of line Sale’, but we don’t recommend PPC for the the long term therefore having an organic SEO campaign running along side your PPC campaign makes sense.
