You may already know that Google uses around 200 different signals to help rank websites for keyword phrases. These signals are a closely guarded secret, in fact only 4 people in the World know them all (anyone of those 4 can have a job here at Juicy SEO if they like!).
So it is nice when we find out from the horses mouth one of these signals, or not a signal as the case maybe.
This week Google confirmed that links from your website to another is NOT a ranking factor. In the past there was talk that linking to other sites with a higher authority in your sector could help your page rank. So now we know that isn’t true.
Just to be completely clear here, links TO your website are still a ranking factor so keep chasing those links!
